What are some good rpg games like oblivion or dragon age orgins?

I find it hard to find any other games like these out there and preferably for the ps3.

personally, elder scrolls and dragon age were kinda bunk in my opinion.



oblivion's world was amazing. just the sheer amount of stuff to do was staggering. but the combat's clunky nature was a huge turn off.



and dragon age was just far to talky for my taste.



that being said, there really arent very many games on any platform quite like those two. if your looking for PS3 rpg's then i would reccomend these:



DEMON'S SOULS:



3rd person action rpg. not much going on in terms of narrative. the world is in chaos and it's up to you to right the wrongs. there are only a few NPC's to talk to when you start. you must find the rest(and some can only be found during pure white or black tendancy). the meat of demon's souls is it's focus on strategy. you cannot swing away wildly at opponents and hope to survive(which makes the game unbearably hard for most people). massive bosses, open ended level based progression, wide open character progression, and perhaps the most awesome rpg online mulitplayer ever.



UNTOLD LEGENDS: DARK KINGDOM:



3rd person action rpg. fairly basic, but has support for 2 player offline, 4 player online. 3 character classes. and a fairly deep level up system.





FOLKLORE:



another 3rd person action rpg. this one has little character progression. basically, every level you get just raises your max health. weapons, and abilities actually come in the folk's you collect. when a monster is defeated, you can absorb it's essence. depending on the folk it may provide you a defensive, or offensive action. item collection to upgrade the folks rounds out the progression. BUT it has a wild, macabre, story and two playable characters that use thier folks in completely different ways.





WHITE KNIGHT CHRONICLES:



cant say too much about this one, since i have yet to play it. but is spiritual successor to dark cloud on PS2. you can build a town, which you use as a hub for multiplayer. other than that looks like a fairly basic JRPG.





FINAL FANTASY 13:



enough said me'thinks.





FALLOUT 3



made by bethesda. it's basically elder scrolls with guns. VATS system is cool in my opinion, but some didnt like it
demon's souls was a pretty good rpg. there's also an older game called Infamous, where you play as a superhero. It may sound dumb, but its a great game, trust me. other than these two, there havnt been many recent rpgs for the ps3, although Final Fantasy 13, which is a hit in japan, is coming out in about a month.What are some good rpg games like oblivion or dragon age orgins?

Fallout 3 is on PS3.



Many newer computers and laptops can run The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, it doesnt cost much.



Or for PC you could get TES: Arena and Daggerfall for free, on the Elder Scrolls official site.

fallout 3, im not sure if ps3 has it, but its out for 360 and PC.



i heard borderlands was good, but ive never played it.
