Are there any family friendly simulation or rpg games for the PS3?

My older brother just gave me is PS3. The problem is, is his game style and mine are completely opposite. He loves the action/adventure first persons shooter type of games, that I hate. I love RPG's and simulations and the only games I play on my PC are the sims series. Are there any fun, quirky simulation or RPG games that are not based fully around violence or magic? Also have you heard of bethesda games? they are really good role playing games. Elder Scrolls 4:Oblivion is pretty good. Skyrim is comming out soon, and it will likely be the best they ever made.





And I know you dont know shooters at all, but neither do I. But fallout 3 and fallout new vegas are role playing games that use shooter controls. These 2 are in my top 10 favourite games of all time. They are not just another stupid shooter or anything, and if you can overlook its controls, its a really really good game if you give it some time.|||Maybe one of the final fantasy games?
