What rpg games is best for me?

I'm trying to hunt down some good rpg games. Some I am considering are Oblivion, Dragon Age 1 or 2, or Fable 3. I am open to other choices and if you can leave a description why each one is better that would be great. What rpg games is best for me?
Another game that open world is Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. I like the game and gives you many choices that can change how you play the game, like Fable, Oblivion, and Dragon Age.
Oblivion is very open ended and has a huge game world to roam around in. You can play it very much your own way as it gives you a lot of freedom. It is like a video game version of the old Dungeons and Dragons game (one of the developers was Ken Ralston who used to work in that field). Very well done if you like that sort of thing.

Final Fantasy games are good too but very linear in style, especially Final Fantasy XIII which makes you follow a single storyline in a very strict fashion. There aren't any big cities to explore like there were in the older games. This is more of a Japanese style of rpg where the emphasis is on following a storyline created by the authors of the game with a group of characters rather than playing a single adventurer.

Fallout 3 is by the same developer as Oblivion so similar in style, except that the setting is a post-apocalyptic wasteland. I love the atmosphere of this game and I would say that it is definitely one of my all time favourites (played ps3 version). What rpg games is best for me?
